Dunham Technique is a fun fusion of modern, ballet, and Caribbean folkloric dance. Katherine Dunham was a dancer, anthropologist, and social activist, dedicated to an holistic approach to dance. Cyndal will focus on whole body conditioning, basic Dunham technique, across the floor progressions, and short choreographies with a modern twist. Beginners are welcome, but some background in dance or other movement techniques is helpful. Modifications are given as needed.
This class is upbeat and music driven, with a focus on basic Hip Hop vocabulary, dance conditioning, and simple fun choreography that everyone can learn. Toni starting out dancing in the club scene in Boston when she was 15. She then majored in dance at Sarah Lawrence College. She studied different forms of Hip Hop in NYC for 10 years, and has cultivated her own style that involves isolations, basic breaking, footwork, and new current styles. She infuses her training of contemporary, modern, and belly dance.
In this class we will focus on our relationship to the floor, our first dance partner. Learn to flow seamlessly from low to high levels, invert with ease, and play with gravity and momentum. Some dance or related experience recommended, but not required.
Belly Dance, Fusion Style
Belly Dance is a celebration of the body/mind/spirit, drawing on dance and music of the Arabic, Turkish, and Persian diaspora. Fusion style belly dance adds a contemporary global flavor to the folkloric and classical forms. In this class, students will learn a basic vocabulary that can carry the dancer through any belly dance style. Our focus will be on whole body conditioning, belly dance drills, and a little fusion choreography. First-time dancers enjoy the accessibility of this contemporary, cross cultural-form. Students of all backgrounds appreciate the deep core intelligence and sense of alignment gained through regular practice
It’s never too late to dance! Explore basic modern dance vocabulary at your own pace. Toni’s approach will prepare you for any style of modern, post modern, or contemporary dance. Particular focus will be given to dance conditioning, floor work, and choreography.
Yoga with Childcare
Fridays, 10:00~11:30. A gentle, restorative, and centering yoga class led by Jessica Greene. Children of all ages can participate in the class, play in our back room, or flow back and forth. Free playroom supervision will be provided. Class is by donation.

Zumba Gold with Adra
Saturdays, 10:30~11:30. Here is your chance to join the party while keeping the pace you want! From Salsa to Cha Cha Cha, Mambo to Merengue, there is a dance style to fill your cup of tea! We invite you, any age, any level to try Zumba Gold/ Intro to Zumba; a low to no impact workout. Chair modifications will be included. This party is for you!

Leaps and Bounds, Modern Dance w/ Katie
Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 (For ages 7~12). The 14 week session runs September 11 – December 18 (no class Thanksgiving Week). Kids will learn the foundations of modern dance in a fun, non-competitive environment. Katie will focus on basic technique, floor work, improvisation, and choreography.
